CUSTOMIZE YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE

MONARCH BUTTERFLY
TOURS

"While other tours may cost less, this one is well worth the expense. It felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the monarch sanctuary with an expert on preserving the reserves and researching the migration of these butterflies. I enjoyed all aspects of the trip!"

- Mariah (Hope for the Monarchs 2024)

INTRODUCTION

Copper Moon Travels specializes in scientist-led tours to the reserves...

We are proud to work with two award winning scientists, Trecia E Neal of Atlanta Georgia, USA and Dr. Pablo Jaramillo Lopez of Quito, Ecuador.

We offer a variety of routes for groups who would like to visit the Monarchs while also exploring other select regions of Central Mexico. We also offer overnight tours, and for our next season, will offer a Christmas tour and some 2-3 night excursions for short get-aways that have a more luxurious pace.

This informational explores the reserves we visit and some of the routes we have on offer! If you are interested in a private group tour, please contact us ASAP with your dates, as our schedule starts filling-up about a year in advance.

San Miguel de Allende, Queretaro, Guanajuato, Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, Lake Chapala & Ajijic, Patzcuaro, Morelia, Zihuatanejo, Acapulco, Mexico City & more...

Browse through countless silver shops in Taxco for your next piece of shiny treasure!  Taxco is a picturesque colonial mountain mining town surrounded by interesting places to visit, such as swimming in an azure spring-fed river, disappearing into the caverns of Cacahuimilpa, exploring the ancient cosmopolitan & UNESCO protected city of Xochicalco, relaxing in the artistic village of Tepoztlan and more...

WE CAN PICK YOU UP AND DROP YOU OFF FROM ANY OF THESE LOCATIONS:

San Miguel de Allende, Queretaro, Guanajuato, Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, Lake Chapala & Ajijic, Patzcuaro, Morelia, Zihuatanejo, Acapulco, Mexico City & more...
