We will be visiting one of the artisan studios in Aranza to browse through museum quality textiles that are woven on backstrap looms.  The pieces generally start at around $4000 MXN for a high quality, timeless shawl - which take about 6 weeks or more to complete.  Most weavers have more than project in the works at any given time, and it take them an entire day just to string their loom before a new project can begin.  Considering the time it takes to master this art form, it's only the most dedicated who stick with this art form.  We look forward to introducing you to the weavers here!
